Brahim Diaz gives an injury update after a match-winning performance against Leipzig

Real Madrid’s unsung hero Brahim Diaz has given an update on the injury he suffered during Real Madrid’s UCL win against RB Leipzig.

Real Madrid maintained their impressive form with a narrow victory over RB Leipzig in the first leg of their Champions League last 16 tie on Tuesday.

Brahim Diaz secured an all-important win for Los Blancos against Leipzig with his mesmerizing goal, although it was Andriy Lunin who emerged as the true hero, making nine crucial saves to preserve a well-deserved clean sheet.

After the match, Brahim spoke to Diario AS and shared his thoughts on his winning goal, which has drawn comparisons to Messi’s style by many observers.

“I get the ball, I make the first feint, I see that they are afraid to go in for the tackle, they retreat a lot… And that’s where I put it in the top corner. I saw Vini and wanted to give it to him, I hesitated, but I ended up shooting. It was a nice goal.”

Brahim Diaz went off at the end of the match after suffering a calf injury. He provided an update on the situation.

“Honestly, right now I don’t know, I’m not going to lie to you. I’ve noticed a blow and I don’t know if the soleus went up or what happened. I guess tomorrow I’ll get tested and hope that it won’t be anything.”

Real Madrid will be anxiously awaiting updates on Brahim’s condition, particularly given that he is filling in for the injured Jude Bellingham. Carlo Ancelotti’s injury concerns are mounting as the season progresses.
