Inter has reportedly contacted Feyenoord to discuss the potential transfer of star striker Santiago Gimenez.
Mexico’s Santiago Gimenez continues to draw attention. Now, Inter is joining the likes of Real Madrid, Barcelona, AC Milan, Napoli, and Juventus in the race to sign the Feyenoord striker.
Inter has become the most recent team to express interest in the Mexican international. The club is looking to secure younger attacking options to replace Marko Arnautovic and Alexis Sanchez, both of whom are now 34 years old.
Inter is not the only Serie A team interested in Santiago Gimenez. City rivals AC Milan, current Italian champions Napoli, and Turin giants Juventus are also reportedly keen on bringing him to the Italian top-flight.
The interest in the striker is even more substantial. The reports suggesting that both Real Madrid and Barcelona are closely monitoring his situation.
The interest in Santiago Gimenez is unsurprising given his remarkable form with Feyenoord in the Netherlands. He has scored 13 goals in just 10 Eredivisie matches this season. He also netted twice against Lazio in his Champions League debut, helping his team secure a 3-1 victory against the Italian club.
In his debut season in the Eredivisie, Santiago Gimenez concluded with 15 goals in 32 top-flight matches and contributed an additional five goals in nine Europa League appearances. The 22-time Mexico international will look to add more goals to his record on Saturday when Feyenoord visit RKC Waalwijk.
