The former Barcelona youngster Xavi Simons wants a return to PSG possibly due to a quieter life at PSV
After years of propping him up to be the next star, Xavi Simons is finally delivering consistently at PSV. However, the 19-year-old wants a return to Paris.
Paris Blues
It seems that Xavi Simons have developed a case of Paris blues as he misses living in Paris after transferring to PSV Eindhoven. Simons is finding life at Netherlands “much quieter” which has him wanting to go back to France.
Simons has told NoS Sport: “I miss France. The city of Paris is incredible, truly a metropolis. I also miss it a bit because Eindhoven is much quieter.”
Simons has had one hell of a season so far, scoring 13 and providing 5 goals in all competitions for PSV.
The Dutch teenager was originally supposed to be loaned out to PSV last summer but his move was made permanent. However, a return to PSG might not be too far fetched since they have a €12m buy-back option on Simons.
Once a part of Barcelona’s youth system, Xavi Simons took years to have a breakthrough season. But the youngster is currently delivering consistently for PSV and was even part of the Oranje setup for the 2022 World Cup. However, he only managed to paly 7 minutes in the tournament.
