A group of FIFA representatives are currently in Saudi Arabia to inspect the country’s readiness for hosting the 2023 FIFA Club World Cup.
Saudi Arabia eager to maximize their relationship with FIFA
The inspection tour includes an assessment of the stadiums selected to host the tournament.
The inspection will particularly look at the King Fahd International Stadium, Prince Faisal bin Fahd Stadium, and the King Saud University Stadium, as well as the training facilities in Riyadh.
This is part of a series of inspections to evaluate the sports facilities and arrangements for the competition in advance. The tournament will take place from December 12 to 22.
Ibrahim Al-Kassim, the secretary-general of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation, stated that the hosting of the tournament for the first time in the Kingdom indicates a significant advancement in the sports sector, especially football.
He also conveyed the federation’s eagerness to collaborate with FIFA to ensure a remarkable tournament.
