Kylian Mbappe reached a 300-goal career milestone after a hat-trick in France’s 14-0 win over Gibraltar.
France scored seven goals in each half as they secured their biggest-ever win by thrashing 10-man Gibraltar with 14 goals in Euro 2024 qualifying on Saturday. Kylian Mbappe scored a hat trick and provided three goals against Gibraltar.
After his hat trick against Gibraltar, the 24-year-old Mbappe reached 300 career goals for club and country combined. He has scored 227 goals for PSG, 46 for France, and 27 for Monaco.
Speaking after the match to TF1, Mbappe said: “It’s just part of the process, there are some players who scored 800 or 850 goals in their career. 300 is just hilarious! I have to keep going and improve for both club and national team.”
Cristiano Ronaldo became the first footballer to reach 850 official goals in history in September when he scored against Al-Hazm in the Saudi Pro League. Lionel Messi also has managed to score 821 goals in 1044 career appearances.
