Manchester City star Phil Foden says his dream is to lead England to glory alongside Real Madrid’s Jude Bellingham.
Foden already has won 16 trophies with Manchester City at age 23, but his dream is to lead England to international glory.
If Gareth Southgate’s side wants to lift the Euro 2024 in Germany, they need Foden and Real Madrid star Jude Bellingham to continue their club form on the international stage.
“Jude is such a special talent,” Foden told TNT Sport ahead of Manchester City’s clash with Everton. “I have never seen someone so young and so developed, so early.
“When you look at some that need a bit of time around the first team and to learn the game.
“When I saw Jude it was like he was a complete player straight away.“
Foden admits he is dreaming about teaming up with Bellingham on the international stage and leading England to glory.
“It is nice to share the field with him at the national team,” Foden said. “If we are going to win anything we need Jude at his best.
“Jude is a special player and he is doing really well at Real Madrid.
“Hopefully we can play together and try and win things for England, that would be the dream.”
Foden: My dream now is to win something with England
Foden was part of the team that lost to Italy in the Euro 2020 final and is determined to win a trophy with the Three Lions.
“My dream now is to win something with the national team,” he said. “Being so close when we got to the Euros finals, it was one of my hardest days in football but the lads now have got the belief that we can go far in tournaments, and we have the belief in the squad.
“So, hopefully, next tournament we can repeat that and get the job done in the final.”
