Queiroz is named as the Maroon’s new manager
The former Real Madrid and Iran coach, Carlos Quieroz has been appointed as Qatar’s new manager following the departure of Felix Sanchez who helmed them at the World Cup.
The 2022 World cup hosts suffered a horrendous tournament, being named the worst-performing host nation ever, which has prompted them to hire someone who has some pedigree in Asian football.
Carlos Queiroz, who managed Iran during 3 World Cups, has had unsuccessful periods at Egypt and Colombia as well but Qatar will be hoping to flourish under the Portuguese tactician.
