Brazil announce a much-changed squad for their friendly against Morocco with several high-profile absentees
Gabriel Martinelli, Neymar and Bruno Guimaraes are all among the high-profile players who are missing from Brazil’s squad for their friendly against Morocco.
The PSG star Neymar reached Pele’s record of international goals for Brazil (77) but his future with the Selecao is up in the air. In addition to that, he has been injured recently as well.
Young Brazilians get a chance to play for Selecao
Following Tete’s departure from the Brazil head coach role in the aftermath of their exit at the hands of Croatia in the World Cup, interim boss Ramon Menezes has taken charge of the Selecao.
Menezes seems to have gone for a much younger side, especially the players that play in South America. He has omitted some big names like Alisson, Martinelli, Firmino, and Fabinho but it might just be an experiment to get the feel of new players.
Brazil will face Morocco on March 25 at Ibn Batouta Stadium in Tangier.
Brazil squad to face Morocco: Ederson (Manchester City), Mycael (Athletico Paranaense), Weverton (Palmeiras); Arthur (America MG), Emerson Royal (Tottenham), Alex Telles (Sevilla), Renan Lodi (Nottingham Forest), Roger Ibanez (Roma), Marquinhos (Paris Saint-Germain), Eder Militao (Real Madrid), Robert Renan (Zenit); Andre (Fluminense), Andrey Santos (Vasco da Gama), Casemiro (Manchester United), Joao Gomes (Wolves), Lucas Paqueta (West Ham), Raphael Veiga (Palmeiras); Antony (Manchester United), Richarlison (Tottenham), Rodrygo (Real Madrid), Rony (Palmeiras), Vinicius Junior (Real Madrid), Vitor Roque (Athletico Paranaense).
