Incoming Real Madrid star Endrick Felipe faces a huge career milestone as Brazil hosts Argentina in a key 2026 World Cup qualifier.
The 17-year-old will join Los Blancos in July when he turns 18. An agreement was made with Brazilian side Palmeiras in 2022. Real Madrid fans are excited about their new Brazilian talent. He broke a record in Brazil’s 2-1 loss to Colombia last week.
Brazil faced a shortage of attackers due to Vinicius Junior’s injury. Endrick Felipe, stepping in for him, became the youngest Samba Boys senior international in 57 years during the closing stages in Barranquilla.
Endrick Felipe, at 17 years and 118 days, became Brazil’s fourth youngest senior player. However, on November 21, the pressure will increase even more.
Brazil will face Argentina at the famous Estádio do Maracanã in Rio de Janeiro. Lionel Messi will captain Argentina, and Endrick is expected to be on the bench. If Endrick faces the world champions, it’s a big step for him, and he’s ready for it.
“Messi is phenomenal, the best in the world again this year. I just want to enjoy the moment of playing against him, being in the same stadium as him, as he’s guy I’ve only seen in video games”, Endrick told Marca.
“It will be a wonderful experience to see Messi up close.”
