Yann Sommer real name means God is gracious and is of French and Hebrew origin. Daniel Sommer and Monika Sommer, Yann’s parents, welcomed him into the world on December 17, 1988, in Morges, Switzerland. He is most likely the lone child of his parent’s marriage. Many people view only children as spoiled and bossy, but Yann is quite the opposite with his humble attitude.

Sommer enjoyed a happy childhood with fond recollections of time spent with his parents.

He occasionally accompanied his father to the pool, where they talked about his goals. Despite his youth, Sommer had already persuaded himself that he would succeed in soccer.

Sommer’s parents had always shown him so much love from the day he was born. Being the only child also gave him the privilege of unending attention from his parents.

The boy grew up being very dependent on his parents. He was once observed pestering his father with a lot of questions.

Thus, he told his father that he wanted to get into sports and that he wanted to be a goalkeeper in particular.

His goals were to excel as a goalie and represent a prestigious international club. Yann Sommer’s parents never stopped him from pursuing his dreams.
