Lionel Messi’s vote for Kopa Trophy has been revealed as Inter Miami star voted for Bayern Munich star as his first choice.
France Football magazine revealed full Ballon d’Or 2023 votes from all the voting countries on Saturday. Messi won his eighth Ballon d’Or after receiving 105 more votes than Erling Haaland. Messi received 462 points, while Manchester City star received 357 points.
Journalists from the top 100 nations in the FIFA World Rankings will choose the Ballon d’Or winner.
France Football magazine also revealed the full Kopa Trophy 2023 votes, after Jude Bellingham won the award on Monday night. This trophy is awarded to the best U21 male player and is chosen by former Ballon d’Or winners.
It has been revealed that Messi did not pick Bellingham as his first choice and instead chose Bayern Munich player Jamal Musiala. Messi picked Pedri as his number two choice, and then Bellingham was picked in third place.
In the final rankings, Musiala finished second with Pedri in third spot.
