FC Cincinnati, who have yet to lose a game, have climbed to the top of the Eastern Conference in MLS, making them one of only two teams in the league to remain undefeated
Pat Noonan’s FC Cincinnati have maintained an unbeaten record with five wins and two draws in the first seven games of the season. Although their goal difference is only five, they have been the most consistent team so far, collecting 17 points out of 21 possible.
While not the most dynamic team, they have still managed to secure the top spot in the Eastern Conference and remain one of the two remaining unbeaten teams in MLS.
“Regardless of the opponent, it adds to the fans’ expectations and belief that our team is going to be ready to win games in front of them,” said Noonan. “… I think I said this maybe last week: If we want to be playing here in important games at the end of the year, we have to continue to find ways to win at home.”
Despite their unbeaten run and current top spot in the Eastern Conference, FC Cincinnati cannot afford to be complacent as they only have a narrow lead over New England and Atlanta.
Moreover, they have some tough games coming up, and it remains to be seen if they can maintain their impressive form. More will be revealed about their true potential in the coming weeks.
FC Cincinnati’s upcoming fixture will see them taking on the recently added team St. Louis City SC at CityPark.
St. Louis City SC has had a remarkable start to the season but has seen a dip in form recently and will be aiming to return to the top spot in the Western Conference.
