Inter Miami confirmed that 18-year-oldstarlet Benjamin Cremaschi will be out for two or three months after his recent surgery.
The Herons announced that their teenage sensation will be on the sideline until at least April, revealing that the 18-year-old has undergone surgery for a sports hernia.
Tata Martino, who was counting on the USMNT starlet to play a crucial role in the midfield, will now have to deal with a significant void in that position.
The sidelining of Benjamin Cremaschi is an overall setback for the Herons, as the young talent brought energy both as a starter and off the bench in 2023.
He earned his first call-up to the USMNT and participated in an international friendly against Oman. Throughout the last campaign, he started 21 out of 28 matches, scoring two goals, and contributing four assists.
The Herons, presently embarking on their preseason World Tour, will travel to Saudi Arabia next week for the upcoming leg.
Scheduled for the upcoming fixtures are a face-off against Alexandr Mitrovic and Al Hilal, followed by a match against Cristiano Ronaldo and Al-Nassr in the Riyadh Cup.
