New Al-Nassr boss Luis Castro claims Ronaldo is still one of the best

Ahead of managing Cristiano Ronaldo, new Al-Nassr boss Luis Castro emphasized that the superstar remains among the elite players globally.

Luis Castro, who joined Al-Nassr from Botafogo following the team’s unsuccessful Saudi Pro League title bid last season, hailed Ronaldo as one of the best players in the world. Since his transfer from Manchester United, the 38-year-old has netted 14 goals in 19 games for the club.

Luis Castro told reporters of linking up with Ronaldo: “It’s always good to coach the best in the world. He’s on that team, as a man who will go down in football history. So it will be a pleasure to work with him, as with everyone else who follows him.”

After his vacation, Ronaldo is expected to make his return to Al-Nassr this week in preparation for a friendly match against Farense at the Estadio Algarve in Portugal. During the summer, Al-Nassr has actively worked on bolstering their squad and completed the signing of Marcelo Brozovic from Inter Milan.

Ronaldo is determined to contribute to Al-Nassr’s success in the upcoming 2023-24 season and add more trophies to his already impressive collection.
