Al Nassr has secured the signing of Sadio Mane from Bayern Munich in the Saudi Pro League in yet another big-money deal.
Mane’s contract until 2027 will see him earning more than £34m (€40m) per year tax-free, equivalent to a wage of over £650,000 per week. Playing alongside Cristiano Ronaldo, the 31-year-old can earn around £136m in total if he completes the deal.
Sadio Mane signed a three-year deal with Bayern Munich last summer for £35m after moving from Liverpool.
However, his time at the club was cut short due to an incident where he punched his team-mate Leroy Sane following a Champions League defeat by Manchester City in April. As a result, Sadio Mane fell out of favor and decided to move to Al Nassr in the Saudi Pro League.
“Sadio Mane is in contract talks ahead of a possible transfer and so is not in today’s squad,” said Bayern.
After signing from Southampton in 2016, Sadio Mane had a successful stint at Anfield, making 269 appearances and scoring 120 goals in all competitions.
He achieved remarkable success during his six years at Liverpool, winning several major trophies, including the Premier League, Champions League, FIFA Club World Cup, UEFA Super Cup, FA Cup, and Carabao Cup.
When he moved to Bayern Munich, the German club paid an initial transfer fee of £27.5m for the Senegal forward, with an additional £7.5m in add-ons.
