Cristiano Ronaldo’s hotel in Morocco won’t be helping the earthquake victims after all

Portuguese superstar Cristiano Ronaldo’s hotel in Marrakesh won’t after all open its doors to provide shelter for victims of the devastating earthquake in Morocco.

The Morocco earthquake, which had a magnitude of 6.8, struck the mountainous High Atlas region on Friday. Yesterday we reported that Ronaldo’s hotel in Marrakesh seems to be helping out the victims, but it seems that is not the case.

As a result of this natural disaster, over 2,000 lives have been lost, with many others sustaining injuries or still unaccounted for.

Lionel Messi is one of those who have expressed condolences to the affected region.

It has also been reported that Ronaldo has made the Pestana CR7 Marrakesh hotel available to those seeking shelter. However, Cristiano Ronaldo’s hotel has confirmed that this is not the case.

Additionally, in a statement to Liberation, a hotel spokesperson said: “This is false information. All the customers we have at the moment have made a reservation normally.”

The powerful earthquake has severely affected the historic old town area of Marrakesh, designated as a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Numerous buildings and walls have crumbled, and the narrow alleyways are stopping efforts to rescue the injured.

Town squares have been made into makeshift emergency shelters providing food, water, and bedding for those affected.

Morocco national football team members have contributed by donating blood to assist the victims in need.
