Ahmed Mido thinks Mohamed Salah will eventually joins Saudi Pro League

Mido, the former Premier League striker and Egypt legend, believes that Mohamed Salah will transfer to Saudi Arabia, despite the failed move this summer.

Salah had expressed his desire to join Ittihad Jeddah and become the highest-paid player in Saudi Arabia. Ittihad even made a significant bid of £100m, which could rise to £150m, but Liverpool rejected it.

Reports suggest that Ittihad may offer up to £200m in January. Mido concurs with this idea and emphasizes that Mohamed Salah will be playing in Saudi Arabia by next summer.

“Mohamed Salah will go to the Saudi Pro League, but it will be a good thing if he manages to win the Premier League title first this season,” Mido said.

“After the next season, he will have only one season left on his contract with Liverpool.

“Next year, Liverpool will not be able to ask for more than 70 or 80 or 100 million for the sale of Mohamed Salah, especially with only one year remaining in his contract,” he added.

In July 2022, Mohamed Salah signed a new three-year contract with Liverpool, which was worth approximately £350,000 per week.
