Having won all eight matches in the qualifying stage, scoring 32 goals and conceding just two, the Selecao have already secured their place in next summer’s tournament in Germany. Ronaldo, leading by example, expressed his joy after joining the Portugal camp under Roberto Martinez at the age of 38.
On Instagram, the forward shared his joy, posting pictures of himself in a training session with a caption that read: “Sentimento de alegria sempre que regresso à nossa seleção! 🇵🇹❤️ #vesteabandeira (Feeling of joy every time I return to our team! 🇵🇹❤️)”.
Ronaldo scored nine goals in seven qualifying match
With nine goals in seven matches so far in the qualifying campaign, the Al-Nassr forward is eager to increase his tally of 127 international strikes when he takes the field in the two upcoming fixtures.
On Thursday evening, Ronaldo will participate in the match against Liechtenstein at Rheinpark Stadion. Following an evening away from home, he will return to base to host Iceland at Estadio Jose Alvalade in the final match of the Euro 2024 qualifying campaign on Sunday.
