Kylian Mbappe likely to sign a new contract with Paris Saint-Germain after being reintegrated into the first-team squad.
Paris Saint-Germain confirmed on Sunday, that Kylian Mbappe will be available for their next Ligue 1 game against Toulouse. The club has decided to reintegrate him into the first-team squad.
A statement from the club reads: “Following very constructive, positive talks between PSG and Kylian Mbappé before game vs Lorient, the player has been reinstated into first team training squad this morning.”
PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi told the PSG players on Sunday morning: “Kylian is committed to PSG. Kylian is back”
Reports in France suggest that there is a possibility Kylian Mbappe signs a one-year contract extension. Mbappe’s current PSG contract expires in 2024 and the new contract allows the French club to pick up a transfer fee for him rather than losing him for free next summer.
PSG accepted a £258m bid from Saudi side Al Hilal last month, but Mbappe rejected their offer. PSG banished Mbappe from training and threatened to sell him this summer if he refuses to sign a new contract.
Luis Enrique’s side drew 0-0 with Lorient in their season opener on Saturday.
