Arsenal is negotiating with an unnamed Saudi Arabian club over the transfer of forward Nicolas Pepe.
According to journalist Fabrice Hawkins, an unnamed Saudi Arabian club is interested in signing Nicolas Pepe and both clubs are in talks over his transfer. Earlier in the summer, the Turkish side Besiktas made a bid for Pepe, but the 28-year-old forward rejected their offer.
Pepe joined the Gunners for £72 million from Lille in 2019. He failed to meet the expectations and spent last season on loan with Nice in Ligue 1. Pepe has scored 27 times in 112 matches in all competitions for Arsenal.
Pepe only has just one year left on his contract and Arsenal wants to sell him as he has no place in Mikel Arteta’s plans.
Last April, Pepe was asked about his future at Arsenal. He said: “I don’t know what Arsenal want. I still have a lot of friends there. I could have been important for the club, but those are the coach’s choices.”
