“He is 100% committed to Liverpool”, Klopp reacts to Al-Ittihad offer to Mohamed Salah

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp insists they have no plan to sell Mohamed Salah to Saudi club Al-Ittihad.

The Athletic reporter David Ornstein claimed on Thursday that Saudi club Al-Ittihad is interested in signing Liverpool star Mohamed Salah. Liverpool already has sold Jordan Henderson and Fabinho to Saudi clubs.

No offer from Al-Ittihad for Salah

In his press conference on Friday, Klopp said Liverpool are yet to receive an offer from Saudi Arabia for Salah.

“Talk about media stories, nothing to talk about. If there would be something, the answer would be no.” Klopp said. “From my point of view he is a Liverpool player.

“He is essential and will be. There is nothing there. My life philosophy I think about a problem when I have it.”

Klopp also said Salah is “100% committed” to Liverpool, amid fresh speculation about his future.

Liverpool manager praised Eddie Howe’s team ahead of Sunday’s trip to St. James’ Park.

“Incredibly strong team, in the [UEFA] Champions League and fully deserved with super development under Eddie Howe and smart business,” Klopp said.

“Sandro Tonali and Harvey Barnes are really good business; they have a super intense style and massive atmosphere there so this is a tough one for sure.

“They played a really good first game where Aston Villa were good as well, the result didn’t reflect the full game.”

Klopp impressed by Wataru Endo

Jurgen Klopp said he has been impressed with new signing Wataru Endo after his cameo at Anfield against Bournemouth.

“It is still early days, after one and half day’s, half a session playing in a team with 10 men is really difficult and he did really exceptionally well with that,” Klopp added.

“He looks good, he is a good player and I was really happy.

“No it was not expected, we had him on the bench to bring him on later in a slightly different situation.”

Liverpool can play Alexis Mac Allister against Newcastle after his red card against Bournemouth was overturned on appeal.
