AC Milan sign Serbia striker Luka Jovic from Fiorentina on one-year deal

Serie A side AC Milan have completed the signing of Serbia striker Luka Jovic from Fiorentina on Friday.

Milan confirmed on Friday that they have signed the 25-year-old Luka Jovic from Fiorentina on a one-year contract. The Italian side wanted to sign Mehdi Taremi from Porto, but the transfer collapsed on Thursday.

“AC Milan is delighted to announce the signing of Luka Jovic on a permanent transfer,” read a statement from the Serie A club.

“The Serbian striker has signed a contract with the club until 30 June 2024.”

After scoring 36 goals in 75 matches for Eintracht Frankfurt, Jovic joined Real Madrid for a reported €60 million in 2019. He failed to meet the expectations and only scored three goals.

Jovic spent the 2021-2022 season at Frankfurt on loan and joined Fiorentina on a free transfer last summer. He scored 13 goals in 50 appearances for the Italian side.
