Postecoglou says Tottenham wants to ‘scare the life out of Arsenal’ in derby

Tottenham head coach Ange Postecoglou says they want to scare the life out of Arsenal in the North London Derby on Sunday.

Tottenham will face their rivals Arsenal in the North London derby at the Emirates stadium on Sunday. Both Arsenal and Tottenham have 13 points after five games in this season’s Premier League.

In his pre match press conference on Friday, Ange Postecoglou insisted his team will not change their attacking style of play against Arsenal.

“In terms of the way we play, we’re not changing, mate. We’ll go out and scare the life out of them,” said Postecoglou.

“I’m well aware of obviously the [north London] rivalry and you take that into account because it means so much to supporters. Being Celtic manager, there really was only one result the supporters were interested in.”

“I love that, that’s the beauty of the game. It’s the passion it brings. People feel like their football club is an extension of their family and they want to protect that, want to make sure every week when they go into battle we come out victors, particularly against our rivals.”

Tottenham will be without Ivan Perisic after he suffered a long-term injury during training ahead of the North London Derby.

Arsenal are undefeated in 27 of their last 29 home matches against Tottenham in all competitions. Spurs lost to their rivals home and away last season.
