Jurgen Klopp’s side now has 23 points after ten matches this season. They are points behind leaders Tottenham.
Liverpool finally broke the deadlock in the 31st minute through Diogo Jota. The goalkeeper saved Nunez’s striker, but Jota was there to gobble up the rebound.
Just four minutes later, Liverpool doubled its lead on a quick counterattack. Szoboszlai linked up with Salah to his right. The Egyptian gave the ball back to him on the underlap, and his pull-back was directed the ball into the roof of the net by Nunez.
Mohamed Salah who had a great afternoon, finally managed to score in the 77th minute after a mistake from Forest’s defenders. Toffolo or Turner failed to deal with a long punt forward by Szoboszlai, and the ball fell perfectly for Salah, who side foots into the unguarded net.
