Mason Mount out for a month as nightmare Man Utd start gets worse

Manchester United midfielder Mason Mount reportedly will be out for up to a month after suffering a fresh calf injury.

Ahead of the match against Everton on Sunday, Eric ten Hag confirmed that Mason Mount has suffered a fresh injury.

Ten Hag told United’s website: “Mason picked up an issue so we have to assess if he’s available for the game or not.”

Reports in England suggest that Mason Mount will be out for a month after suffering a calf injury. He is set to miss the game against his former team Chelsea on December 6.

Mount joined Manchester United from Chelsea for £60million last summer, but he has struggled to find his way onto the pitch. The English midfielder has only played in 12 matches, mostly being used as a substitute.

Ten Hag also confirmed that Luke Shaw and Andre Onana will be in the squad for the Everton game. Rasmus Hojlund still needs to be assessed, but Christian Eriksen will miss this game.
