Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti says his future will be decided soon, amid constant links with Brazil’s job.
Ancelotti has been strongly linked with Brazil’s job, and many expect that he will leave Real Madrid at the end of the season. However, some reports in Spain claim that Real Madrid is willing to offer him a new contract.
In his press conference ahead of the match against Cadiz on Sunday, Ancelotti said he is proud of Brazil’s interest, but he is open to extending his contract with Real.
Speaking about his future, Ancelotti said: “I’m proud that the Brazilian national team is talking about me. I’m proud, but until my contract is over I’m not going to talk about my future.
“About my future, everything will soon become clear. At most, within six months. Of course I would (wait for Real Madrid to offer a new contract).”
Ancelotti also was asked about Castilla star Gonzalo Garcia Torres who has been training with the senior side and may play in the absence of Vinicius Junior. The Brazilian winger will be out until the end of January with a hamstring injury.
Ancelotti said: “We have incorporated Gonzalo and Nico Paz. Alvaro Rodriguez did very well during the period in which he has been called up (last season). He returned to Castilla and his performance worsened a bit. He has less opportunity because his profile is occupied with Joselu. Gonzalo has a different profile.”
