Ancelotti: Allegri, Mourinho and I are fighting the new generation

Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti admits that he would like to one day manage Italy’s national team.

In an interview with TV7, the former Juventus and Milan manager admitted that managing Italy’s national team would be ‘amazing’.

“Of course, it would be amazing, but we are in good hands. Spalletti is a top coach and he has proved it. He is very smart and in step with the times,” he said.

The Italian coach who has been linked with Brazil’s job also asked about his future at Real Madrid.

“I am happy here, but of course, it takes two to do a wedding,” he said.

Ancelotti added: “Brazil? Surely there is an interest, but the Real Madrid contract expires on June 30, 2024, and there is time to make the correct decision.”

The 64-year-old Ancelotti also claimed that he, Jose Mourinho, and Max Allegri are ‘fighting’ the new generation of coaches.

“Allegri, Mourinho and I are the old generation, which is practical and fights the new generation,” Ancelotti replied.

“Allegri may not amaze, but from what I read, he’s brought Juventus into the top spots.”
