PSG star Mbappe admits he ‘misses’ playing with Lionel Messi

Paris Saint-Germain star Kylian Mbappe has admitted that he misses playing alongside football legend Lionel Messi.

Mbappe played two seasons with Lionel Messi at Paris Saint-Germain when the Argentinian joined the French club in 2021. Messi left PSG after his contract expired last summer and joined MLS side Inter Miami. Mbappe and Messi won two Ligue 1 titles and one Coupe de France together.

Mbappe will be a free agent at the end of the season and still is undecided about his future amid links with Real Madrid. In an interview with Amazon Prime Sport, Mbappe said he misses playing alongside Messi.

You always miss playing with Leo Messi,” Mbappe told Amazon Prime Sport. “For a forward like me, you love running into space, with him [in your team] you are certain you can get the ball. It’s a luxury that only he can give you. Overall, playing with him, it has been special. Messi deserves all the respect and actually in France, he didn’t receive the respect he deserved.”

Mbappe and PSG won the French Champions Trophy on Wednesday and will face Revel in the French Cup on Sunday.
