Paris Saint-Germain superstar Kylian Mbappe says he is ready to pay big money to just be able to do simple things in his life, just like in his childhood.
French football star Kylian Mbappe has opened up about his life as a famous person in an interview with the French public national television channel. The full interview will air on Thursday, January 18th.
In an interview with France 2‘s weekly television newsmagazine show Envoyé Spécial, Mbappe admitted he missed doing simple things in his life like buying a baguette at his nearby bakery.
“I don’t even know! These are things that were so simple, and I saw them as chores when I was a kid. Now, I’d pay big money now to just be able to do those things.“
The 25-year-old football star was asked what he would do if nobody were to recognize him for 48 hours.
“I’d spend them outside, that’s for sure! I’ll do things without having second thoughts about it“, said Mbappe. “This is what it’s all about. I’ve lost my spontaneity as a human being. I can’t just go out and do things if I want to. Everything is organized now.“
Mbappe added: “I’d go eating in a restaurant, go out, meet friends, party. have a nice brunch on a sunny terrace and admire everything. The simple things in life. This is what I miss more.“
World Cup winner Mbappe is set to play for France in the Euro 2024 and then must decide his future before his contract with PSG expires at the end of the season.
