Liverpool forward Fabio Carvalho has joined Championship side Hull City on a loan deal until the end of the season.
Liverpool confirmed on Wednesday that Fabio Carvalho has joined Hull City on a six-month loan deal. Hull’s Championship rivals Southampton was also keen to sign him.
Carvalho joined Leipzig on a season-long loan deal last summer but failed to establish himself as a part of Marco Rose’s first team. He only started three Bundesliga games and Liverpool decided to cut short his loan spell.
Hull head coach Rosenior said of Carvalho’s arrival: “I couldn’t be happier. Everyone is aware of Fabio’s ability, his qualities as a young player.
“I have to give Acun and Tan so much credit for the work they’ve done to bring him here.
“We’re building a reputation, not just in England but in Europe, for the way we develop players.
“Our style of play and ambition are really important factors in attracting players to the club.”
Rosenior added: “Fabio is excited to be coming here and I’m delighted to be working with him to the end of the season.
“Technically, he’s outstanding. He can assist, score and run in behind. He’s brave, quick, very balanced and takes the ball.
The 21-year-old Carvalho joined Liverpool on a free transfer in the summer of 2022. He made only 13 Premier League appearances in his debut season.
