Serie A side Juventus is considering signing former Liverpool midfielder Jordan Henderson on loan in January.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Jordan Henderson’s agent has offered him to Juventus and the Italian club is considering signing him on an 18-month loan deal.
The 33-year-old midfielder joined Saudi side Al-Ettifaq six months ago, signing from Liverpool for an eye-watering £700,000 -a-week contract. But after just six torrid months, Henderson is pushing for a move away from Saudi Arabia.
The English player preferred to return to the Premier League, but he has not received an attractive offer so far. Ajax is also interested in signing him and is making a major push to sign Henderson on loan.
The ex-Liverpool player wants to return to European football to save his place in Gareth Southgate’s England squad for Euro 2024.
Al-Ettifaq is in eighth place in the Saudi Pro League table after 19 matches. Gerrard’s side has won just once in their last 12 league games.
