Barcelona returned to winning ways in La Liga thanks to late goals from Felix and Torres in a breathtaking match against Real Betis on Sunday.
Barcelona secured a 4-2 win away from home against Real Betis after throwing away a two-goal lead in the second half.
Xavi’s team now is in third place with 44 points after 20 matches, seven points behind Real Madrid. Real Betis dropped to ninth place in the La Liga table.
Barcelona took the lead in the 21st minute through Ferran Torres. Pedri sent a cross from the right across the face of the goal and Ferran Torres tapped it home.
Xavi’s side scored another goal just before the half time after Lewandowski passed into the path of Torres who passed it back for the Poland striker to tap home. However, it was ruled out for offside after VAR intervention.
Just four minutes into the second half, Torres scored his second goal of the match. He sent the ball into the net after the ball reached him off the bar via the cross of Lamine Yamal.
Two goals inside four minutes from Isco
Betis put one goal back in the 56th minute through Isco. The former Real Madrid player smashed an unstoppable volley high into the net after Barca keeper Pena failed to deal well with the cross.
Just four minutes later, Isco scored another goal to equalise for Real Betis. Isco was one-on-one with the keeper after Luiz Henrique’s pass found him and he chipped the ball over Pena.
Barcelona’s pressure paid off and Joao Felix managed to score the third goal in the 88th minute. After a little one-two between Felix and Torres, the Portuguese scored with the outside of the right boot at the edge of the box.
Torres finished the job and completed his hat-trick in the 93rd minute. He scored with a beautiful chip after Yamal’s stunning pass sent him clear to goal.
