Dusan Vlahovic explains the key factor contributing to his improved performance for Juventus this season compared to the past.
Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic emphasized his goal-scoring prowess by securing braces in consecutive matches against Sassuolo and Lecce.
The first goal in the Lecce match was a volley into the ground, and the second, was a tap-in where he slyly claimed credit on the line, although Weston McKennie’s header was already heading into the net.
Gleison Bremer then capitalized on a Samuel Iling Junior free kick to complete the 3-0 victory.
“I am happy, especially as I got to help the team. I could not have scored those goals without the team, we hope to continue like this,” Vlahovic told DAZN.
Max Allegri is consistently urging Dusan Vlahovic to stay composed and maintain a relaxed demeanor on the field, advising him not to be overly affected by missed opportunities.
“I am always calm, it’s just that perhaps my emotions look a bit more obvious on the pitch. We managed to win in a tough stadium against a team that had not lost here in four games.
“It is an important victory for us and above all we managed to keep a clean sheet too.”
As Inter is away for the Supercoppa Italiana Final against Napoli in Riyadh on Monday, Juventus has the opportunity to temporarily claim the top spot in the table. Depending on the results, they could potentially retain the lead heading into the Scudetto showdown on February 4.
“We are not thinking about that. We take it one game at a time, the next is Empoli and then we’ll think about Inter.”
Vlahovic has already scored more goals this term than throughout all of last season. What made the difference?
“I am in good shape physically, it’s simple. That is the only difference. I am looking after myself, eating well, sleeping well, all things I did last year, but now thank God I am alright physically. I hope to continue like this.”
