Former Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea is yet to secure his next club.
David de Gea, the former Manchester United goalkeeper, remains without a new club nearly seven months after departing Old Trafford. Despite once being among the highest-paid goalkeepers globally, de Gea doesn’t seem overly eager to return to playing.
According to Diario AS, there is no indication that David de Gea will sign with any club in the remaining days of the transfer window. Despite reported interest from Real Betis, Newcastle United, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, and even Manchester United, with all facing goalkeeping issues, actual offers have only come from Saudi Arabia. However, none of these potential moves have materialized.
The 33-year-old might have had a chance to rejoin the Spain squad for the Euros under new manager Luis de la Fuente. However, he has only been part of two international breaks during de la Fuente’s tenure, and it seems his hopes of a national team return are diminishing.
