Bayern Munich has made a new offer for Newcastle United defender Kieran Trippier after their previous offers were rejected.
According to reports in England and Germany, Bayern Munich isn’t giving up on signing Kieran Trippier and has made a new bid on Tuesday. Newcastle reportedly rejected Bayern’s first offer, which was believed to be in the region of €8 million. The English club has told Bayern that they only let Trippier leave for an offer between €15-20m.
However, Sky Sports England claims Newcastle has rejected an improved offer in the region of £13m for Trippier and does not want to sell him.
The 33-year-old Trippier has 18 months left on his Newcastle contract and reportedly has already agreed terms with Bayern. He could join his former Tottenham teammates Harry Kane and Eric Dier in Munich.
Thomas Tuchel wanted to sign Manchester City right-back Kyle Walker last summer, but he decided to stay at his club. Tuchel remains keen on signing a right-back this month, and it seems he has convinced Bayern to sign Newcastle defender.
Trippier joined Newcastle from Atletico Madrid in January 2022 and was named the club’s player of the year after in the 2022-23 season.
