Facundo Pellistri has embarked on his second loan spell in Spain, joining Granada until the conclusion of the season.
Manchester United’s Uruguayan winger, Facundo Pellistri, who has struggled to secure a regular place in Manchester United’s starting lineup, has completed a loan deal to La Liga side Granada. Pellistri previously spent the second half of the 2020-21 season and the entire 2021-22 campaign with Alaves.
Pellistri, who made 14 appearances for United this season, with only one start in the Premier League against Crystal Palace, will have his wages covered by Granada, and the Spanish club will pay an undisclosed loan fee to Manchester United.
Prior to sealing his move to Granada, Facundo Pellistri expressed frustration over his limited opportunities at Manchester United. His agent took a dig at United manager Erik ten Hag, suggesting that if ten Hag remains in charge, Pellistri is unlikely to return to Old Trafford for the next season.
“Ten Hag hasn’t used him, valued him, or treated him like a professional,” Edgardo Lasalvia told Sport 890. “Whether he returns to Manchester in the middle of the year will depend on the performance he shows. If Ten Hag continues, it’s going to be difficult.”
Uruguayan international Facundo Pellistri, with 18 caps for his national team, has accumulated 24 senior appearances for Manchester United. Now, he is set to pursue more regular playing time during his loan spell with Granada in Spain.
