Manchester City star Erling Haaland has named his dream all-time five-a-side team and included Barcelona legend Lionel Messi.
Erling Haaland has become one of the best players in the world in recent years and broke many record in his first season in English football. The 23-year-old striker has scored 226 goals in 277 matches during his career, including 71 goals in 77 matches for Man City.
The City’s prolific goal machine helped them to win the treble in the 2022-2023 season and won many individual awards like UEFA players of the season.
In an interview with The Official Man City Podcast, Haaland was asked to pick his dream 5-a-side team excluding Manchester City players.
He said: “I think I need to take a couple of Brazilians then. I would like to see Ronaldinho, [Lionel] Messi, Cristiano [Ronaldo, [Paolo] Maldini to be back there, then I need a ‘keeper, no? I would take [Iker] Casillas,” Haaland said.
Haaland praised his Brazilian teammate Ederson and revealed he would have picked him in his dream team.
“I would love Ederson because Ederson in these five-a-side games, if he is able to shoot, he would score 15 goals!”
