Former Leverkusen striker Volland linked with a return to Bundesliga

Following his three-year stint at Monaco, Kevin Volland might make a return to Bundesliga with Vfl Wolfsburg interested in signing him..

Reports suggest that there is speculation about Kevin Volland returning to the German Bundesliga, following his stints at Hoffenheim and Bayer Leverkusen.

VfL Wolfsburg, under the management of Niko Kovac, are reportedly interested in acquiring the services of the AS Monaco forward, as mentioned by Braunschweiger Zeitung.

Given that Volland’s contract is set to expire in 2024, Monaco is not expected to demand a substantial transfer fee for the 30-year-old player.

Following his first season at Monaco where he scored 16 goals in Ligue 1, his most prolific season in the top flight, Volland has seen both his goals and his appearances diminish over the past two seasons. This may very well be his lasts season abroad.
