It appears that Tottenham is gearing up to compete with Liverpool in the pursuit of Wolfsburg defender Micky van de Ven.
According to The Guardian, Tottenham has already had discussions with Micky van de Ven’s agent, following his impressive debut season in the Bundesliga.
Tottenham has identified Micky van de Ven as a potential option to strengthen their defense. Still, Jurgen Klopp and Liverpool are also interested, which could lead to a bidding war this summer. Alternatively, Tottenham may opt to pursue Bayer Leverkusen’s Edmond Tapsoba, who is also on their list of targets.
According to reports, Wolfsburg is asking for a fee of approximately €30 million (£26m/$33m) for the Dutchman after his impressive season in the Bundesliga. Moreover, Bayern Munich is also reportedly interested in the Dutchman.
It is uncertain whether Tottenham or Liverpool will submit a bid of €30m for the defender, despite his impressive season with Wolfsburg.
