Bayern Munich is reportedly making significant efforts to secure the signing of Takehiro Tomiyasu, as they seek defensive versatility for their squad.
According to Sky Germany, the Bavarian club is determined to acquire Arsenal defender Takehiro Tomiyasu in the upcoming January transfer window after having pursued him extensively during the previous summer.
The 25-year-old Japanese player has attracted Bayern’s interest due to his capability to play various defensive positions, including center-back, right-back, and left-back when needed. FC Hollywood‘s manager, Thomas Tuchel, is keen to bring Tomiyasu to the Allianz Arena as soon as possible.
The report tells that Arsenal is unwilling to let go of Takehiro Tomiyasu, and despite Bayern Munich’s interest, the Gunners are committed to keeping the player. Arsenal has communicated to Bayern that they intend to keep Tomiyasu for the entire season. However, Bayern is expected to closely monitor Tomiyasu’s situation at the Emirates and could reconsider the possibility of signing him in the summer transfer window of 2024.
