Jadon Sancho flies to Germany to sign for Borussia Dortmund on loan

Manchester United’s exiled winger Jadon Sancho has reportedly flown to Germany to sign for Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund.

After months of tribulations, Jadon Sancho will finally depart Erik ten Hag’s Manchester United to join his former club, Borussia Dortmund, on loan.

The English winger fell out of favor with Erik ten Hag early in the season and has not played a role in Manchester United’s campaign ever since. The drama started when the Dutch manager dropped Sancho in their loss against Arsenal and then claimed Sancho didn’t put too much effort into training.

Sancho was quick to dismiss Erik ten Hag’s comments about his commitment to the club which resulted in him being excommunicated by ETH. Sancho hasn’t played all that much since and it has been long speculated that he’ll leave in January.

That rumor has now come to pass since his old club Borussia Dortmund is on the verge of signing him back on a loan deal with a total package of €4m. However, there are no buy options included in the deal.

During his time at Dortmund, from 2018-19 to 2020-21, Jadon Sancho was second only to Robert Lewandowski (115) in terms of goal involvements in the Bundesliga, with Sancho being directly involved in 78 goals. Notably, Sancho stood out as the sole player in the German top flight to achieve both over 30 goals and over 30 assists, contributing 37 goals and 41 assists during this time frame.
