The Nerazzurri will compete with Barca to get the signature of Bayern Munich’s Benjamin Pavard
The 2018 World Cup winner Benjamin Pavard is set to leave Allianze Arena with Inter and Barcelona as possible destinations.
Benjamin Pavard could be the target of a bidding war
With him losing his starting spot as well as his contract expiring in 2024, Benjamin Pavard is set to leave Bayern Munich in the summer.
The 2018 World Cup winner has no shortage of suitors but Barcelona and now Inter seem to be the most persistent among them.
Both Real Madrid and Barca have been linked with the Frenchman, whose value might be around €30m. However, it appears that at least one club has bid for Pavard in January as sporting director Salihamidzic puts it.
“We have big goals for the season, so we decided we couldn’t do without him. We turned down a great offer for Pavard in January,” he told BILD, referencing an offer from Inter.
With Nousair Masraoui’s fitness being in question as well as the involvement of Joao Cancelo who could also operate as a left back, it makes sense that Bayern have held on to Benjamin Pavard for now.
Neither Inter nor Barcelona are financially stable enough to make a crazy bid for the player or start a bidding war, which makes both of their jobs even harder.
