Moukoko will miss Borussia Dortmund’s Champions League clash against Chelsea as he is ruled out for six weeks
Borussia Dortmund will be without their star Youssoufa Moukoko in both legs of their Champions League last-16 tie against Chelsea.
Moukoko is out for 6 weeks
Youssoufa Moukoko was injured in Dortmund’s 2-0 victory over Werder Bremen and was replaced by Haller. A scan on Moukoko on Monday showed that he has suffered a torn syndesmosis ligament and is set to miss 6 weeks.
Dortmund Sporting director Sebastian Kehl informed the press about the extent of Moukoko’s injury, saying: “This is tough news for him and us, especially in the current stretch. We kept our hopes up, but unfortunately he will be out some time.”
This means that Moukoko will miss both of BVB’s clashes against Chelsea but will be available should they qualify for the next round.
With Dortmund only 3 points behind Bayern In the Bundesliga and a clash between the two clubs coming in at the end of March, Terzic will be hoping to have Moukoko back by then.
