Ferran Torres fond of returning to Valencia

Valencia have had a difficult season and are at risk of being relegated to the second tier of Spanish football with only five games left.

They currently sit in 17th place and are only saved from the drop zone by their goal difference. As a result, these last few games are incredibly important for the team.

Ferran Torres, who began his career at Valencia before joining Manchester City in 2020, is rooting for his former club to avoid relegation this season. According to Sport, Torres wants to see Valencia remain in the top division.

“Valencia has to be in La Liga and among the best in Spain. Hopefully, they can be saved as soon as possible.”

Torres also admitted that he would love to return to Valencia at some point in his career.

“I’ve never closed the doors. Hopefully I can return to Valencia at some point. I’ve always said it: it was my club and it’s the club I’m most fond of.”

Torres might leave Barcelona this summer as the La Liga leaders aim to enhance their financial state ahead of the upcoming season. He is among the probable contenders to exit the club.
