Javier Tebas and Florentino Perez have a strained relationship and do not see things from the same perspective.
Javier Tebas and Florentino Perez’s disagreements existed even before the European Super League controversy, but the situation has further deteriorated their connection.
Tebas strongly opposes the Super League, which Perez has been leading alongside Barcelona President Joan Laporta.
However, despite their differences, Tebas still desires success for Real Madrid, particularly in the Champions League. According to Cope (via Sport), Tebas expressed his wish for Los Blancos to defend their Champions League title from last season, although he made a somewhat ironic remark regarding Perez.
“Real Madrid’s performances have been very good lately, and I will go with Real Madrid (to win the Champions League). I am a Madridista, but not a Florentinista.”
Tebas’ recent remarks regarding Barcelona and Real Madrid have angered supporters of both clubs, and his latest comments are expected to be poorly received by the officials of the latter.
