Ancelotti dispels rumors of his departure

Following Real Madrid’s defeat to Manchester City, there have been concerns regarding Carlo Ancelotti’s future at the club.

Despite not being able to retain LaLiga or the Champions League titles this season, Real Madrid still managed to secure three trophies, including the Copa del Rey, marking their first victory in the tournament in nine years.

Ancelotti’s second tenure at the club has been highly successful, building upon the three trophies won in the previous season.

Speculation surrounding Ancelotti’s future has been fueled by ongoing rumors about the vacant position in the Brazil national team. However, Ancelotti himself addressed these doubts during his pre-match press conference before the upcoming match against Valencia, confirming that he will not be departing from Real Madrid this summer.

“The club has confirmed to me that I will fulfil my contract.” Ancelotti said.

The Italian tactician’s deal is set to expire at the end of the next season. Whether he continues at Real Madrid or not, is likely to be influenced by their performances across all competitions next season.

Considering Ancelotti’s track record of winning an average of three trophies per season, it can be assumed that Florentino Perez would be content to retain him as the head coach for an extended period.
