Valencia’s bizarre response to racism allegations from Ancelotti

Valencia responded in a bizarre manner to allegations from Carlo Ancelotti of their fans racially abusing Real Madrid star Vinicius Junior.

Los Che secured a crucial 1-0 victory over Los Blancos, as they battle to avoid La Liga relegation this season, but off-field issues overshadowed the game.

Match referee Ricardo de Burgos Bengoetxea controversially sent off Vinicius in added time, mere minutes after the forward lodged a complaint about racist abuse from the home fans.

The Brazilian star has repeatedly faced racial abuse in Spanish stadiums, and this time, he condemned the incidents at Mestalla by releasing a statement.

Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti also criticized the racist fans after the match and emphasized the condemnation of the insults.

Valencia director Javier Solis claimed that Ancelotti had mistakenly labeled the Mestalla fans as racist and appeared to support the notion that there was a misunderstanding.

Solis stated that the club would strive to identify an individual involved in racist chanting but dismissed the idea of widespread abuse.
