Gabri Veiga wanted by the Premier League
This wouldn’t be the first time that Mikel Arteta’s side has been linked with a talent from La Liga. They showed interest in signing Raphinha from Barcelona in January and are long-time admirers of Real Sociedad’s Martin Zubimendi.
However, it seems that Arteta and Co. have yet another Spanish target in mind as they look to sign the 20-year-old Celta Vigo midfielder Gabri Veiga.
The Spanish youngster has made 14 starts in La Liga this season, scoring 6 goals and providing 2 assists. Arsenal are primarily looking to sign a box-to-box midfielder to compete with Granit Xhaka and Veiga seems to be the perfect choice for the player they are looking for.
However, reports from Diario AS claim that Arsenal are not alone in their pursuit of Veiga as Man Utd look to sign him too. Besides these two, Newcastle United also scouted Veiga in Celta’s game against Atletico Madrid.
