Los Blancos are reportedly keen on opening talks with Eden Hazard in regard to his potential departure
To say that Eden Hazard’s transfer to Real Madrid has been disastrous is an understatement. The Belgian is going through yet another forgettable season, having played only 98 minutes of La Liga football so far this season.
Is Eden Hazard on his way to MLS?
Hazard hasn’t played since the World Cup and his last appearance in La Liga came on September 11. Real Madrid and Hazard himself are desperate for a fresh start and it seems that MLS clubs may offer that to Hazard. This is why the club is apparently sitting down with him to discuss his departure to the US.
The former Chelsea superstar joined Real Madrid four years ago for a fee of €100 million. His unbelievable transfer fee as well as his astronomical wages make him one of the most expensive players in history. However, the Belgian has struggled with form and mainly injuries in the four seasons he has been at the club.
Now Italian transfer guru Fabrizio Romano reports that Hazard’s representatives will hold talks with Real Madrid execs who are eager to sever ties with him. There have been strong suggestions of MLS clubs being interested in signing the 32-year-old.
