Barcelona is edging closer to signing Athletico Paranaense striker Vitor Roque who might refuse Arsenal to join Blaugrana
La Liga leaders Barcelona have been monitoring Athletico Paranaense striker Vitor Roque for several months.
Barcelona finds Lewandowski replacement
They recently scouted him at the U20 Sudamericano tournament in Colombia, where he finished as the joint-top scorer and helped Brazil win the championship.
Barcelona has reportedly advanced in negotiations to sign Vitor Roque this summer as a backup striker for Robert Lewandowski, with plans to groom the 18-year-old Brazilian forward to eventually replace the Polish star in the coming years.
Although Arsenal is also reportedly interested in him, the 18-year-old has expressed his desire to play for Barcelona in recent weeks.
Sport reported that Vitor Roque is nearing a move to Barcelona after turning down an offer from the Premier League leaders.
The report suggests that Roque only had eyes for Barcelona once he learned of their interest in him.
